Entrepreneurial thinking

Starting a business of their own, real or imaginary, teaches them to think about a purpose, an audience and a message.

Brand and design confidence

They design a logo and a full brand identity, with colour palettes, font pairings, spacing and alignment that work together.

Writing that connects

Copywriting practice teaches them to write clear, attention-grabbing text that speaks to an audience.

Websites people can actually use

They learn navigation and user experience so their site is easy to use and mobile-friendly.

Pride in a finished project

They finish with a published website they built from scratch, plus a certificate of completion.

What they’ll learn, module by module

Twelve modules take them from planning to publishing, with an optional final quiz and a certificate at the end.

Pam Lauzon, website designer and homeschool mom

Taught by a professional website designer who’s also a homeschool mom

Hi, I’m Pam! I’m a professional website designer and homeschool mom of two in British Columbia, Canada. I never got to learn these skills as a kid, and I know what a difference they’ve made. Building websites led to a career I love, and made it possible for me to work and homeschool my children.

This course lets your child learn how websites are really made, from someone who does it every day.

Questions parents ask

What does my child need to take the course?

A free Canva account. Canva Pro gives more options, but every lesson and assignment is designed around the free version.

Does my child need to take Level One and Two first?

No. If they’ve finished Graphic Design Levels One and Two, this is a great next step. If they haven’t, they can start here as long as they have a good handle on Canva’s features.

What age is it for?

I recommend ages 10 and up. Every child is different, so choose the starting point that matches their current skills.

Do they need a real business?

No. They can build a real business or an imaginary one. Either way they practise branding, writing and design.

How long will we have access?

12 months from purchase. The course has 12 modules with 30 lessons, a quiz and a final project.

How many lessons should we do each week?

Your child works at their own pace. To finish in a 12-week term, do one module a week. To finish in 10 weeks, do three lessons a week.

Will my child be able to keep their work?

Yes! Each assignment is set up so they can make a copy in their own Canva account. They can print, share and reuse their designs.

What is the refund policy?

You can request a refund within 30 days of purchase as long as the course hasn’t been started. If life gets in the way and your child can’t finish within the 12 months, email me and we’ll work something out.

Can we use homeschool funding?

Often, yes. If a third party needs to purchase on your behalf, have them email hello@pamlauzon.com with your first and last name and email address. I’ll send them an invoice and send you an invitation to create your login.

Is this a membership or subscription?

No. It’s a single payment of $50 CAD.

Does my child have to join the community?

No. It’s optional and only for students and parents. Students never need to share their name, photo or personal information.
