“
My favorite part of the course was simply listening to the videos and taking my own spin on the pages you told me to fix.

“
I've really enjoyed this program so far because of being able to watch the videos you make and re-watching them, doing the fix-ups and getting a feeling for them, and then going onto the project. My favorite project so far was lesson six making the device wallpaper. I loved it so much that I made many more wallpapers of different things.

Meet Pam

Designer, educator, and homeschool mom

A little about your instructor

Skills I wish I'd learned when I was a kid.

Hi, I'm Pam! I'm a professional website designer and homeschool mom of two living in British Columbia, Canada.

I didn't have the opportunity to learn these skills when I was young, so I know how valuable it can be to discover design, computers, and creative software. Those skills eventually helped me build a career creating websites and graphics — and made it possible for me to work while homeschooling my own kids.

I created Digital Explorers Club to make these skills approachable for young people, with clear lessons and projects that let them learn by doing.

 Good questions, helpful answers

Before your child gets started

Here are answers to the questions parents ask most often.

What software does my child need?

A free Canva account is all they need for the Canva courses. Canva Pro is optional. The lessons and assignments focus on features available in the free version.

What age are the courses for?

I generally recommend ages 10 and up. Every child is different, though. If your child can read, use a mouse, and follow instructions, they may be ready. Younger students might need a little extra help from a parent.

Does my child need design experience?

No. Level One is designed for beginners. If your child already understands Canva and feels comfortable with the basics, they may be ready to start with Level Two instead.

How long does a course take?

The courses are self-paced, so your child can work around your family's schedule. As a guide, completing about one lesson per week can help a student work through a course over a school term, allowing extra time for the final project.

How long will we have access?

Course purchases currently include six months of access. Please check the individual course page for the latest details.

Can my child keep the designs they create?

Yes! Assignments are designed so your child can make a copy in their own Canva account and keep the designs they create. They can use their new skills for school presentations, posters, book reports, and more.

Is this a subscription?

No. The courses are a one-time payment, not a recurring membership or subscription. The graphic design ebook is also offered as a one-time purchase.

Is there a refund policy?

Course purchases have a 30-day refund policy as long as the lessons have not been completed. If something unexpected prevents your child from finishing within the six-month access period, please contact me to discuss an extension. Review the current refund policy before purchasing.

Can homeschool families use education funding?

In some cases, a third party can purchase the course on your behalf. Email hello@pamlauzon.com with your name and email address to discuss arranging an invoice and course access.

Does my child have to join the student community?

No. The private community is optional. It is intended for students and parents, and students are not required to share their name, photo, or personal information.

What if I have another question?

I'm happy to help! Email hello@pamlauzon.com and I'll get back to you.
